If full payment is not made, we reserve the right to terminate your booking and retain your 50% payment. On receipt of your deposit, we will email you a confirmation/receipt of payment and when we have received your full payment, we will email you again with a final confirmation together with any additional, relevant information. For bookings made less than 4 weeks in advance, the full balance is kindly requested at the time of booking.
Cancellation: If you need to cancel your booking up to 6 weeks before your arrival, we will retain the 50% payment, however, we will always try and move your booking and deposit to an alternative date of the same value if available. If you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of your arrival, we will retain your full payment. You may wish to consider independent holiday cancellation insurance, to cover you from any loss.
Website: We reserve the right to change our website, including prices and terms, without notice. At the time of full payment, we may also request a £100 cleaning/breakages deposit that will be returned at the of the end of your stay and on satisfactory return of the bell tent. You are responsible for leaving the tent in the condition it was found and your deposit may be retained if the tent is not left on time and in a reasonably clean and tidy condition or there is any unreported loss or damage to the contents.
Covid-19: Should we need to alter your booking due to imposed Government restrictions, we will always try to rearrange your stay to a mutually agreeable date.
Privacy: Your contact and personal details may be kept by us for future mailings and news. If you do not wish to receive these, please let us know. You may also opt out of receiving emails at any time by contacting us. The booking process asks for your address details and phone numbers, these are required by the Local Authority so at any time we can prove you are not residents at the camp site. It also allows us to contact you should the internet fail and if we need to contact you whilst you are travelling to the campsite. Please note that your financial details are NEVER stored, nor seen, by us and we will not pass on or sell your details to any third parties.
Terms of Stay: Whilst we accept group bookings, please note that we are not a party site. By staying with us at Wassand Croft you agree to abide by the terms of stay. These terms are in place to ensure that everyone can experience Wassand Croft in a fun and safe way. The person making the booking is taking responsibility that all members of their booking will be aware of and abide by these terms of stay.
- Noise: Please enjoy Wassand Croft Glamping whilst respecting our neighbours and the environment. Other guests must be respected, and noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times and to a minimum after dark. You may be asked to leave the site if you are making excessive noise and no refund will be made in this case.
- Visitors: No visitors should be invited to the site without prior agreement (and must be registered beforehand for insurance purposes). Only guests registered at time of booking may stay overnight in the tent.
- No smoking or naked flames (other than in the fire pits) is allowed on site due to the abundance of dry grass. Please only use logs specifically purchased for use in the fire pits. Please do not move the fire pits from the set location as open fires present a fire risk particularly with dry grasses and hay in abundance. Portable gas camping stoves are included in your booking and should be used in accordance with instructions. You are responsible for reading and following all the instructions provided with the supplied equipment and within the bell tent. You are taking full responsibility for use of the equipment and are expected to take every reasonable precaution against injury to yourself or others. We will not accept any liability for use, misuse or failure to follow instructions when on our site or using any of the supplied equipment.
- Dogs/Pets: For the sake of the local wildlife and neighbouring sheep, unfortunately we do not allow pets on site.
- Parking: Cars must be parked in the allocated car park (after drop off) to retain the natural view of the field. Cars and contents are parked at own risk.
- Environment: To keep the environment as natural as possible and so as not to restrict wildlife movement, we have kept fencing to a minimum. As with any countryside space there are natural hazards; ditches, streams, tree roots, nettles, brambles and uneven ground to name a few. Appropriate footwear/ clothing is therefore recommended. Please also use the eco-friendly washing up detergents and shower gels provided in order to protect the environment. Your waste water helps water the trees! Please keep rubbish to a minimum or take home with you if excess waste is produced and will not fit into the wheelie bins provided. Please keep food in the storage boxes/cool boxes provided to avoid attracting wildlife overnight.
- Responsibility: By staying with us at Wassand Croft you are agreeing to be responsible for your own welfare [and the supervision and welfare of your children] and you are agreeing to take every reasonable precaution against injury to yourself/others and damage to the environment. Any valuables should be secured and not left unattended in the tent. We cannot be held responsible for loss of visitors’ personal belongings.
- Arrival & Departure Times: Your tent will be available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival until 11.00am on the day of departure unless by prior agreement.
